We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and highly professional Service Manager for our Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Aberdeen. Your role as the Service Manager will be to maintain and continuously improve service delivery within the department through strong leadership.

What you will be doing

  • Responds to and resolves all customer issues direct to them within the communicated Peter Vardy guidelines
  • Manage the Service/Technician team to ensure the department achieves/exceeds service business plan
  • Manage the Service/Technician team to ensure the department achieves/exceeds the national average Jaguar Land Rover CSI score
  • Ensures development plans are in place for the Service team through the completion of Peter Vardy weekly/monthly/yearly reviews & regular completion of AYOT’s & PDP’s
  • Formulates and implements action plans to increase sales and control costs in line with Peter Vardy and manufacturer standards
  • Complies with company policy regards to system housekeeping
  • Achieves service department targets through reviewing weekly/month accounts, operating controls and composite figures
  • Adheres to the recommended manufacturer labour times at all times when charging the manufacturer or retail/account customer
  • Maintains turnover and profitability through periodic review and assessment of pricing policy, labour rates and fleet agreements
  • Ensures themselves and service team attend and complete any PV or manufacturer training ensuring the development of the service team to support improvement in technical ability, CSI & job performance

What you will need

  • Relevant experience in service leadership role
  • Proven track record in Aftersales within the automotive sector
  • Strong people and leadership skils
  • Technical qualifications, as appropriate
  • A clean, current driving licence
  • Willingness to work additional/unsocial hours as required.
  • Demonstrate experience of setting and reviewing financial, volume and operational objectives.
